Default What is factory recommended differential oil for a C5 6 speed stick currently?

The title says it all, but I'm also doing the diff. vent mod by putting a hose on the vent nipple, top left of the pumpkin, after removing cap, spring and old seal disc. Then I'm putting on the new vent at end of the hose which will be 7" long. This in keeping with TSB for Cadillac. The hose is to mitigate heat build up and distortion of the seal disc.

What GM/AC Delco diff. oil should I put in? - 2 qts or so I think.

Interesting, I've never heard of this TSB before. Could you post it?

I might want to do this to my 6-speed.

It is not easy to clamp down the 3/8" hose to the remaining nipple on top of the diff. Best to push hose down hard against the diff. shell, and do same with screw clamp- as it has a tendency to work up and over the lip of the nipple as you tighten it.
