Default #20-NA-236: Engine Overheats or Coolant Leak Under Rear of Vehicle - (Feb 10, 2021)

    Chevrolet Corvette 2020

    Condition

Some customers may comment on one or more of the following conditions:
    •Engine overheats
•Coolant leak under rear of vehicle

    Cause

This condition may be caused by the water pump outlet pipe becoming disconnected from the water pump.

    Correction

Important: Follow the complete coolant bleed process called out in SI. Performing just a vac-n-fill will leave air in the cooling system, potentially causing an overheat condition.

Replace the water pump outlet pipe and fully perform the complete bleed procedure after replacing the pipe.
