C8 to z51 or not? Motor trend examines the two as well as 1LT?

If I was ordering a C8 today I would most likely set it up the same way I did my C7: 1LT with Z51 and MRC. The extra braking is nice to have on the freeways in California and I think the MRC helps make some of the crappy freeways we have more tolerable. The only thing that would give me pause would be getting the Front Lift option which I think you need at least the 2LT to get. My C7 does scrape slightly in my driveway so I would look very close at that addition to a C8. So possibly a 2LT Z51 MRC Front Lift setup.

I was scraping my c6 z51 like crazy and the speed taboesmliterally caused me to replace the radiator support ..i could only get over the 10 mph speed taboe in my c6 z51 19/20 inch c7 z51 rims and tires..

My c8 can easily traverse these same 10 mph speed table at over 10 mph with even coming close to scraping.

I have travelled over these speed tables at probably 18 mph without scraping...

My c6 would have been smashing big time.

The approach angle on the c8 is totally so much better.

I wnt back and forth on the E60 but vecause it needed the luxury 2LT I said forget about.

So glad I didnt bother ..

My suggestion is rent a turo for 350 a day and travel around your roads..it would give good insight in my opinion and might save you 9500 dollars.

Of course if your imto the 2LT interior(7500) then definitely consider getting the E60 for the extra 2 grand.
