Thread: Passenger side fuel tank connector testing, is it possible without dropping the tank?

Default Passenger side fuel tank connector testing, is it possible without dropping the tank?

Guys i need to somehow find out if the fuel pump in my passenger side fuel tank is working or not, is it possible to just remove pass side rear wheel and fender liner and have access to the connector at the top so i can make sure i am getting power etc to the connector and i can also maybe use my power probe to put 12v to the pump to see if its coming on. i have a Tech2 but it only allows for engaging drivers side main pump on and off, not the pass side which is a bummer. Also does anyone have a pin out of the pass side fuel tank connector, i looked through my GM manual but cant find one for that connector...
    Thanks in advance.

    Good morning,

The passenger side IS NOT A MOTOR DRIVEN PUMP. This works on a venture principle by which fuel flow through a venture will draw fuel from passenger side into the pipe and to the drivers side tank.

You can confirm this is working by using a Tech 2 to observe the fuel level sensor voltages as the vehicle is driven.
