View Full Version : Air Bag Warning Light

I just removed the seats on my 2008 Z06 to do the 2012 seat upgrade which I got from Leatherseats.com. Beautiful leather, by-the-way. When I re-installed the seats, my airbag light is now illuminated. This is a 1LZ, so no airbags, warmers, or lumber support bladder. The wire connectors were a little confusing getting back together, especially the yellow one. There was also a third connector on the passenger seat that I don't recall disconnecting or even noticing and I can't find anything that it could plug into. Is there any way to determine which side the air bag light is picking up a problem with and which connector under the seat is for the air bags? Is it the yellow one? Thanks.

HI there,

The air bags are the yellow connections. BUT, there are other connectors that can AFFECT the airbag light system.

Disconnect the negative battery cable FIRST< let the car sit for 5 mins.

Carefully disconnect the connections and then check to make sure there is no connector damage to terminals or pins.

Reconnect, if they do NOT fit together fairly easily with a slight bit of tension as they seat, it is WRONG and should be rechecked.

Allthebest, Paul
