Seat Fix

Does anyone know if there is a fix for the '97(probably c5's inclusive) seat backs falling forward on hard breaking? Have searched various forums and only found the rocking seat repair. Would really appreciate any input before under taking any creative engineering.

How much forward is it moving??? The seat back will move forward slightly, as there is a bit of movement from the actual seat back mechanism.

There are kits to fix excessive front the back movement. I fixed mine on my 98 before the kits were made using metal blocks. The original rubber bushings crush and become compressed, thus causing the rock movements.

That's for the rocking seat. That's not what he's talking about. I asked him the same thing as Paul did on another forum. Apparent;y, he has the back of his seat sitting more upright than you would normally see most Vette owners do. Like Paul said, there is some movement by design. My seats sit at the same angle as the waterfall and do move at all unless I try and brake hard from 120 to about 70.
